At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs(CPIFA), Mr. Deminique Villepin, former Prime Minister of France，visited China from 9 to 19　March.  Mr. Zhou Shengxian, Minister of Environmental Protection, Mr. Zhang Xiaoqiang, Vice Minister in charge of the National Development and Reform Commission, Ambassador Yang Wenchang, President of CPIFA, Mr. Liu Jieyi, Vice Minister in charge of the International Department of CPC Central Committee, Mr. Lu Yongzheng, Member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, Zhao Jinjun, President of China Foreign Affairs University, met with Mr. Villepin. The two sides exchanged views on China-EU relations and prospects for the European Union development. Apart form Beijing, Mr. Villepin also visited Shanghai.
