From 16th to 18th September 2023, at the invitation of Cátedra China, Mrs. Shi Ling, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), paid a friendly visit to Spain by heading a CPIFA delegation. She met respectively with Mr. José Luis Centella, General Secretary and President of the Communist Party of Spain and Director of the Center for Studies and Work on the New Silk Road, Mr. Marcelo Muñoz, President of Emeritus of Catédra China, Mr. Miguel Otero Iglesias, Senoir Researcher of the Elcano Royal Institute, and Mr. José Herrera, Director-General for International Relations of Community of Madrid and Secretary of Foreign Affairs at the People’s Party. Vice President Shi Ling elaborated on the core spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, Chinese modernization and China’s economic and social developments and exchanged views with the Spanish side over China-Spain relations, China-Europe relations, the Belt and Road cooperation and other international and regional issues of common interest. Both sides also explored the possibility of future cooperation.
