On 9th October, 2023，Mr. Wang Chao, Member of the Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC),  President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), met with Ms. Naz Durakoğlu, US Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Legislative Affairs. The two sides exchanged views on China-US relations, exchanges between the two legislatures and other issues. Mme. Shi Ling, Vice President of the CPIFA, Mr. Qi Lujiang, Deputy Director-General of Department of International Exchanges, NPC Foreign Affairs Committee and Mr. Christian Marchant, Political Counsellor of the US Embassy in China attended the meeting.
