On April 16, 2024, the World Internet Conference (WIC) Digital Silk Road Development Forum was held in Xi’an. Mr. Wang Yong, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, addressed the opening ceremony. Ms. Shi Ling, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, attended the forum at invitation. 

With the theme of “Connectivity and Shared Prosperity”, the forum was hosted by WIC and organized by the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province. Representatives from nearly 50 countries and regions participated in the forum and had discussions on digital connectivity, Silk Road cooperation, international cooperation in Silk Road e-commerce .
