On October 21，Mr. Yang Tao, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and Dr. Hans Albrecht, Chairman of Global Bridges of Germany, co-chaired workshop in Beijing. About 40 participants from Chinese and German economic, legal and academic fields were present at the workshop. Mrs. Song Zhouying from the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Mr. Yao Mingtao from the Energy Research Institute of National Development and Reform Commission, as well as former members of German Bundestag Mr. Rainer Stinner and Mr. Joachim Pfeiffer made keynote speeches and exchanged views with the participants on Belt and Road Initiative, Chinese-German Energy Cooperation and regional hotspot issues. Both sides agreed that under the current international situation, China and Germany should enhance face-to-face communication, promote win-win cooperation and make new contributions to world economic growth and sustainable development. 

Working together with CPIFA, the Global Bridges has been organizing delegations to visit China since 2005 to promote deeper understanding of China’s economic and social development and enhance China-German cooperation in various fields.
