The China-Korea Forum on Friendship and Future Successfully Held in Beijing

To implement the consensus reached by the heads of states of China and ROK, entrusted by the governments of both sides, the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) co-organized  the track 1.5 dialogue-the China-Korea Forum on Friendship and Future in Beijing on October 17, 2024. 
H.E. Mr. Cao Jianming, Head of the Chinese delegation and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress, H.E. Mr. Wang Chao, Executive Chairman of the forum and CPIFA President, H.E. Mr. Miao Deyu, Assistant Foreign Minister of China, H.E. Mr. Yoo Ilho, head of ROK delegation and Former Korean Deputy Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Jung Byungwon, Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Mr. Choe Hyoungchan, Executive Chairman of the forum, Chancellor of Korea National Diplomatic Academy delivered opening remarks repectively. 
The Chinese delegation includes former Ambassador to ROK H.E. Mr. Ning Fukui and Vice President of China Institute of International Studies Mr.Liu Qing and experts and scholars from think tanks such as the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, and China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations. The ROK delegation includes former Ambassador to the United States H.E. Mr. Ahn Hoyoung and experts and scholars from the Korea National Diplomatic Academy, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Kyung Hee University, Seoul National University, Sogang University, the China Economic Research Center, the China Humanities Management Research Institute and the China Studies Center of the JoongAng Ilbo. 
Focused on the theme of “Adhering to the direction of friendly cooperation and jointly creating a peaceful and prosperous future”, representatives from both sides exchanged views and proposed policy suggestions on issues of common interest including the sound and stable development of China-ROK relations, promoting regional peace and stability .
