On November 1, 2024, the opening ceremony of Beijing Forum 2024 was held in Beijing. Mr. Zheng Jianbang, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People’s Congress attended the event and delivered a keynote speech. Mr. Wang Chao, President of Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs attended the event. The theme of Beijing Forum 2024 is “The Harmony of Civilizations and Prosperity for All—The Era of Innovation and Advancement of Mankind”. Participants from China and other countries exchanged views on Sustainable Development and Environmental Health, Global Economic Transformation and China’s Innovation-Driven Development, The Shared Future for Mankind and other topics.

 

The Beijing Forum is an international academic event co-organized by Peking University, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education and Chey Institute for Advanced Studies. The Forum has been held for 21 years annually.
